Ethical Considerations in Providing Virtual Services
In March 2020 , due to a pandemic, the way counseling services were provided changed for most. As flexible as most of us were switching from in-person counseling to virtual services, it was fast and furious. In this presentation, we will review the HIPPA regulations of Virtual Services, what platforms can be used, what regulations the State of Texas waived during the pandemic response, and what are the current policies. We will discuss how to create a safe and comfortable counseling experience for you and your client. At the end of this presentation, clinicians will have a checklist and information on best practices in the use of virtual services.
